About Me:
My name is Satya (Jen) Lendrum (she/her). I am a Reiki Master practitioner, I specialize in energy work as part of my Conscious Living Practice based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the United States.
My Practice:
At the core of my practice philosophy is supporting others to live more consciously. Part of this means assisting and teaching others to self-heal and integrate the mind, body, and spirit in ways that allow for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing thereby increasing vitality, creativity, and empathy. My practice is trauma-informed and consent-based. My healing space is body-positive and queer-friendly. My areas of specialization include healing from gender-based violence and inner child (re)-connections. I also focus on helping others in healing and helping fields such as nursing, medicine, and social work because to help and care for others, we must first care for and heal ourselves. My practice is conveniently located at the top of Medical Mile in Midtown.
More About Me:
For several years, I struggled with chronic pain that was both undiagnosed and untreated (and largely invalidated) by the modern medical model. As part of my healing journey, I found alternative healing modalities such as Reiki which contributed to a shift in consciousness and the ability to heal myself through intentional, self-directed practices. Part of my purpose in this life is to teach others how to tap into the ability to heal ourselves at the root, our core wounds.
Training & Education:
I am a Master Reiki practitioner (Usui/Holy Fire). I have completed coursework in Inner Child Healing; Ascension Healing; Laying the Foundations for Healing the Subconscious (Donna Lakes School of Ascension). I am a social scientist, with a PhD in sociology from Wayne State University. My research areas include gender-based trauma, overall well-being, and meditative/contemplative practices in higher education.
